Sen. John McCain Diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Sen. John McCain has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. On Friday, July 14, 2017, Doctors removed a blood clot from above McCain’s left eye. Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot.

Treatment options may include a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. The cancer tissue was resected. The future treatment will be effective.

Sen. McCain has a history of melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer.
